Digital Confidence Adds APE and Lyrics3 Support to its Metadata Remover

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL (January 20, 2013) — Digital Confidence, the leading provider of data leakage prevention (DLP), hidden data & metadata removal, and privacy software solutions, today announced the release of version 4.3 of its batch metadata remover - BatchPurifier™.

The new version of BatchPurifier™ is able to remove APE tag and Lyrics3v2 tag from MP3 audio files in batch, in addition to ID3v1 tag and ID3v2 tag (including XMP). The new version also features enhanced processing of Microsoft Word documents and few minor improvements.

Powered by Digital Confidence DataDistiller™ Engine, BatchPurifier™ is able to remove more than 50 types of hidden data from 20 file types, including Microsoft Office® documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), OpenOffice™ documents, PDF documents, and popular image and media file types such as JPEG, PNG, and SVG. BatchPurifier™ can remove hidden data from files even if they are compressed within ZIP files.
