How to Edit Broadcast Audio Extension in WAV Files

WAV audio files can have metadata embedded in them, in conformance with the format standard. There are several possible metadata formats for WAV, including Broadcast Audio Extension. (Bext) A WAV file that contains a Bext chunk is known as Broadcast Wave Format. (BWF)

A Bext chunk contains the following metadata elements: description, origination date, timecode start, originator, originator reference, and coding history.

It's possible to edit Bext metadata with an appropriate software that has been designed for this purpose. MetadataTouch™ is a multi-format metadata editor for Windows®, that, among its capabilities, can edit seven WAV metadata formats, including Bext metadata. It can do so one file at a time, and its Professional Edition can also do so in a group of files en masse. It has a simple & straightforward graphical user interface.
